hm. i installed the new updates for r5. now it seems that when i log in from asgs, my screen resolution is way off. it looks like a picture in picture image. when i am in game, the pic in pic image affects the chat above and the menu (esc menu). i have installed the latest version of directx also.

Posting some screenshots might help. Also, did you try changing the resolution in-game?

This seems like the same problem I have. Sorry for starting a new thread, though not sure if it is same problem.

um. here is this image. it's nasty. i concur.

here is more of this debacle.

yes, the mini map is messed up. the chat above is also unreadable. i dont have any additional plugins installed. i installed juckIU, but it was in this condition before and after that.

at least my picture isnt messed up when im flying i.e. in the cockpit. i can still see ships and bases clearly. it's just the mini maps, the chat, and the lobby image. when im in the lobby, i cant really see chat b/c the resolution is mussed.

ive tried most things i can consider... driver updates, all settings in ASGS safe mode, tweeking settings in-game.... idk.
ive even reinstalled alleg.

please help.

After seeing both of your screenshots, I don't think Valiance is having the same issue as you, so I split the thread.

I don't really have an idea what could cause your problem, though. Could you make full-screen screenshots too, please?

1st guess is buggy install, unless you are having this or other problems on other games
My 2nd Guess is some directX problem, maybe re-install/update that
3rd guess would be some graphics card setting, check if you have any settings on your graphics control panel for Allegiance

Ahhh - like starsailor and Death3D. My guess is this Gfx chipset is causing the problems. I believe Imago has a fix for this planned which will get released soon. Hold tight.

Edit: Out of fear.
