a few times since ive started playing again last week, ive got this glitch. the yellow parts show up in the same pattern and the game locks up. the game has also locked up at the team selection screen also...but without the yellow thingys. im using a 8800 GT, xp pro, all the latest updates, etc. any thoughts? Thanks.

1. What's your antivirus and firewall?
2. Are you using the beta version?

I don't have personal experience with this issue, but I believe it is a driver problem. You could try a different graphics driver, but I'd wait until Immz or another who's more familiar than I with the details to chime in.

Newer nVidia cards (like yours) have some serious issues with older games. The best solution is to start using our new client build, that was converted to use DirectX9, with which the new cards have no problems. It still has some flaws, but nothing that hurts gameplay.
Details on how to move to DX9 build.
Try that and get back to us if there was any improvement.

I get the same problem every time I play. I'm also using a 8000GT. I tried the dx9 build but it had too many issues so I just quit. Guess we're SOL.
