Ok check this out.

Since we have ONLY one powerup in the game well that makes it fine and quite useful but how about adding more powerups like if you take a Boost-powerup u will get a limited time of fast boosting or a limited time of normal speed high or u could get a shield-powerup to keep your shield infinite for a limited timing very useful for SF but making them more annoying :glare: , how about a teleport-powerup to teleport you to the nearest dock-able base etc (you get the picture)

Benefit : Increasing Gameplay (which happens to make things fun? :lol: )

Ok heres a noob-type (its noob-type because it might involve alot of coding and this might just increase the game''s awesomeness :doh: )

How about sometime in a map you can randomly hide a broken ship which only pods can dock in , this ship will be as hard as rescue probe to find but will let the pod use it when the broken ship and pod contact. The ship will have no power (no ammo , no fuel , less hull). The player must dock the ship to make it usable.

The ship might be something out of the tech like when you are dreg u might get a Giga's lxy sf or when you are IC you might get a Rix's hvy int. :ninja:

Only thing this suggestion will increase is that a player might get a sb and without the other team knowing , bomb them to death

Note: Only the player which secure the ship will be able to use it.

Point: To increase strategy and gaming fun. ;)

Oh and also one more thing can we just add a feature which let us give our ship to other players like when our tac is bombed i could give my SB (which i was able to save) to a experienced player , This would really make a good teamwork tactics.

New ideas are fine but I think you will find those that have played a while don't want things too change too much.
Perhaps some of these things can be part of a new core.

My two cents.

Leave the power ups to games like MarioKart ;)

How does finding a random ship that gives you an advantage over the other team increase strategy?

I would be more inclined to support something along the lines of salvage. But if the previous owner left a ship as a wreck and podded home, chances are you in your pod won't get it working either. Salvaging tech is another issue. But ships already 'drop' tech when destroyed.

I do think that being able to exchange ships with another player would be a good thing. It makes sense as well

I like your first idea =]

Not the second one though

The powerup should be a random effect thing so its not so easy to get the shield powerup for sfs

Ok how about my 2nd suggestion we will just let a player retreat a Special Tech which let him get any of the following randomly:

1.A random power up(which he can activate anytime)
2.A random ship (either good or bad)

As for my 3rd one y not just make a backup base:
1.Build Tac
2.Buy SB
3.Tac Dead
4.One SB is safe
5.Comm builds a backup base(not a tac, this base will let him secure limited number of tech but it will need a silicon rock to build on if tac tech we want to secure)
6.SB, GAs, SF secured (Because really guys people resign rite after they lost their Game-Ending tech)

Note: The cost should be reasonable if tac: $10k so obviously this base must cost : 5k to 7k (hmmm should depend on base type)


What do you think? $_$

So you are saying you want a 'discount' for a replacement tach base? With your reasoning being since you already built one you should be able to build a second one at a lower cost? Why not just go belters? I can see how you are trying to make things more interesting here but in a game that is already pretty interesting I for one don't see these particular ideas getting traction. But feel free to keep posting ideas, you might hit on one I or others like.

Again, I do not like the idea (but maybe it is just me) of random power ups you can use later. Too much like Mario Kart (or any number of other console games).

Well you can always mix it with allegiance gameplay even it taste like Mario Kart type.
Like Uranium Boosters or Tritium Shields :blush:

Now we can't all go belters beside i am just saying that secure some tech with this backup base not all like belters so thats why i thought about it , it will still keep belters unique and the gaming action live more other than saying ''OH MY GOD our base is down, miners dead, newbie running in circle lets resign #resign Press Y everyone!!! WEEEEE!!! YEEHAW GG '' :glare:

Then comes that tech securing which is quite useful.

Well i was just hoping that ALMOST in every game we will get a game where no one would say ''That game was silly/no fun'' :o

Sounds interesting and fun, but this is Allegiance, not an arcade game. Skill and teamwork usually determine who triumphs, and that's the way it should stay. Picture this: Bomber with shield powerup. Any boost-equipped ship with boost powerup pushing it to about 200-300mps. Bomber attacks base. Its shield powerup runs out just after the base dies. Fair victory? Skill-based victory? Teamwork-based victory? NOPE!

This idea is a bit pointless IMHO. Ok, one really good ship. Unless Sob_Larry gets it, it won't make much of a difference. Not really worth the effort in programming it. And if it's meant to be a free ride home for pods, then why is it so hard to find? It would be easier and quicker to return to the nearest base or friendly ship than to look for the wreck-ship.

Now THIS I like. This would add to teamwork, add a new strategic element...Hmm, uses are kind of limited when you look at it, but it's still pretty cool...

Hmm good review i'll change my suggestion into this:

Unique powerup for each ship to avoid your Bomber/Htt/Sb/figBee Run problem.

the 2nd one was clearly a useless one but no it is not a free ride home its about your choice to either go home and help your team out or take that ship take it to the base, clean it , fix it , lick it, hug it , kiss it , read it a bed time story ,after you have done so much hard-work u will earn a deadly ship

3rd one was a common suggestion anyone could have suggested (wonder y no one did >_<) so nothing special.
