My problem sounds exactly like the issue that Vozey had submitted May 7, 2008.

Does anyone run 2+ machines from behind a router sucessfully? I have a suspicion that the problem may be the Router. Vozey had the same Brand, Linksys. Linksys has a few posts about the same type issue with XBox in a similar configuration.

If anyone is successful with 2 machines, please let me know what kind of router you use. I may have to go buy one.

More Info.....
I have 2 machines on a LAN behind a switch/gateway/router.
1. Both machines work fine by themselves.
2. When we play together at the same time, after 5 minutes or less, the 2 errors happen.

Have tried these:
1. All firewall and antivirus and anti-spyware software is turned off.
2. uPNP was changed to a different state. Currently disabled. Enabling makes it worse.
3. All packages installed and updated as recommended.
4. Have NOT tried port forwarding or triggering. Not that familiar with it. Wiki says its not necessary now....

My preliminary guess is that your accounts are linked. Is there any chance that you logged in using your account on the other machine, or visa versa? If the accounts are linked, our security system sees the two accounts as one, and thus will disconnect the first one when the second one logs in. This is what appears to be the case when I read your write-up.

If so, we'll have to bump it up to an admin to unlink the accounts and you must never link them again. If this has happened, we'll need to know the player names (and hiders, if any) for each machine so the admin can unlink them properly.

Thanks Free, but I don't think this is the case. Mine is a new machine, never been logged in on by the other account.

I read all the warnings and was determined not to make that mistake.

It wasn't Vozey's problem either. see other posts from May '08 that I referred to...

Max connection count from one IP is 5. That means, that you can connect from five different machines from behind a router (higher numbers require exceptions granted by the admins on special terms).
Now, it doesn't matter if you've linked the accounts on the new computer, if they've been already linked on the old one. In that case, just by logging in using any of the linked accounts on the new rig, you've added it to the link.
As it really seems to be the most possible answer to what's going on, please post the callsigns in question and we'll ask The Prowler That Eats™ to run a query for them. In the worst case scenarion we'll rule the possibility out

It does not sound like a linked account, because ASGS simply log out the other account. It does not produce ping or dplay errors. For me it sounds like the router messing it up.
Can you borrow one from a friend to test if it works?

Borrow a router. Thanks Grim, that is something I did not think of... doh! Maybe the IT guy at work..........

If anyone a good suggestion for brand, it would be appreciated.

Again, if anyone has already run 2 behind a router, please let me know what type you used.

It actually cannot be linked accounts, because we run both at the same time for 5 to 10 minutes before it errors. But if someone wants to check it out anyway, here we are,

Confirmed, no linkage there.

Try changing your router out, if you are looking for a better one, answer the following questions:
1) do you own any APPLE computers/ wireless products
2) do you torrent
3) how much space are you looking to cover
4) do you want to homebrew your router?

1. No Apple computers or Apple wireless.
2. No plans to torrent. Unless its doing it behind my back.
3. With wireless, eventually, 50-60 feet radius or so.
4. Homebrew? Seems like it would take awhile, and unless you had a shortcut, that will take away from my Allegiance Flying time.. ;-)

Any idea, Psychosis?
