HUD Gfx glitch

I get this HUD glitch below after playing a while.
Note: The white sqare is not visible during play, thats just the ASGS window sneaking into my screenshot.
On the F3 map or in base it is not visible.
I'm having this problem since switching to a Radeon 4870 recently. Might be driver related.
Anyone else see this? Im going to fiddle with acceleration settings a bit to see if i can get rid of this.


Windows Version: XP SP3
Processor Speed:Athlon X2 4600+
RAM: 2G
Video Card (Make and Model#): ATI Radeon 4870
Sound Card (Make and Model#): on board realtek
Installed Mods: none
I took the cadet course, and all i got was this lousy bitmap.Image

Hmm, I thought slipstream (or whatever it is called) wasn't compatible with R4. But that may be totally unrelated to your problem...

I have that issue. If I alt+enter to bring out of full screen and then alt+enter to get back into full clears it up.

Sorry I can't help to fix it but thats a work around

I have a similar problem with getting portions of other programs pop through (itunes, internet pages, asgs) rapidly on portions of the screen in game. Similar to what dorj said alt tabbing out then back in fixes it. (Im using the alpha graphic version)

Alt-Tabbing does not fix my screen. Going to re-sort the gears and bits of mah drivurz. Now where is that soldering iron? :huh:

Having no problems with Catalyst 8.7 drivers (WinXP SP3, Athlon X2 6000+/Radeon 4870, std Alleg (not alpha), CortUI), new versions caused problems (like drop of FPS).
