Ok the prelim first base has been textured, thanks to a lot of speedy work from Andon.

I got hold of this sexy baby 24hrs ago and havent put it down since!!

Color scheme is radically different from the ships. Though I gotta say I do love this one... Maybe give the ships that metal feel as well?

Are giga bases textured with segmented metal plates? It's fine and it's great!

1. How the hell did you come up with that idea?

@ D3D; The colour scheme is pretty much the same, the metal hull plating is a very similar designed texture, the only real difference is the warning markers going up and down the rod. I assumed the bases, even though the are still plied together, would be of a slightly better caliber since they are less dispensable than the ships.

Ofcourse the main noticable feature is the solar panels. There is not much you can do to Solar panels except battle scarring, which I may work on later

Can all the vets be able to paint grafiti on the solar panels... they're like giant (whatever artist draw on) IMO.
