Waaaayyy too loud imo. Makes me take off my headset.

I complained about this in game and someone was kind enough to tell me there was a way to remove it by altering some file in my allegiance folder? (they may have specified the one at the time, but unfortunately I didn't take note of it for some reason or another)

Anyone know which file // how to do it?

I'm sure this thread has been done before, but probably long ago and my quick scan reviled little.

Assistance appreciated.

Let the big game kills go on soundfully.

thx

What about boundsalert.wav?

I'd like an official replacement. I don't mind some beep, but it's really too much. 1 soft beep every 10 secs would be enough imo.

I kind of like the idea of using the "Power overwhelming!" clip from Starcraft.

That clip rocks, I'm surprised it's not in a chatpack. But not really appropriate as a sector overload sound.

Since deleting this file, my allegiance experience/enjoyment has improved by approx. 5%.

Do we have any volunteers to make a replacement wav/ogg file?

Not sure where it is at the moment but I have a replacement sound. It may have been in one of the sound packs or a single file upload from a community member. The new sound is great, it is softer, sort of a thrumm thrumm thrumm sound. I am at work otherwise I'd post it.

At one point I had replaced it with a stereotypical 'alarm' (I think I had pulled it from BSG) sound. It was much better

Can we create custom sounds or record lines from tv shows or something?
