QUOTE (gr4vity)Squad Game RT vs PK on #Planet2 - CCb2 - /17/08/2008:

^Orion@PK (Yellow/IC/Sup) [map] vs grav@RT (Blue/IC/Tac+DryDock) [Sett]

Gamesize: ~ 14v13
Duration: 40mins?
Map: Star
Sett: 1.0 / 1.0 / Res: Normal / Con: High / Treasure: Normal SY On

Summary:

Our Op builds (5). TP builds at home. Their OP gets pushed to (3) and they get a home TP as well.
First impression after seeing the map: $#@!. We are totally screwed! The only U rock of the map is in their home. All Si/C rocks in range are total crap.

We get a home tac while they push a TP (7) and build a second OP in (4). We start to put pressure on their eco and push a uneyed TP into (9). They lose the first miner but somehow manage to mine out (7). /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

They try to bomb from (3) but we stop them with lt ints/prox and SFs. Another PK and one of our miner dies (<- my fault was naning another) and while they form another bomb run we get our uneyed SY up in (9). Their second bomb run has a massive nan train but a Corv rips in for the rescue stops it. In the mean time we have an attack carrier stopping them to push their Sup into (8).

Eventually they build it in (1) after another 4mins - a rock similar crappy to our low C rock. In the mean time Idan launched an uneyed MF walking uneyed from (9) to (10) to (2). He enters their Sup sector while they assembled another bomb run to our home in (3) that rips immediately. As he gets in missile range the Sup is becoming Adv and it dies a few seconds after that /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

The only C they can reach is in (4) and is camped by StartledBunnys corv. Idan's second MF destroys the OP Low after taking out the middle TP (that way we prevent them from getting sup in (8)). He moves to high takes out the Garr with them camping the wrong aleph.. game over.[/quote]

Thanks for the game PK, was close all along.

We decided to handicap ourselves by making Orion comm, too much of a handicap /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

People just take stuff too seriously I think. Except IB, of course.

IB: It made me really paranoid that you didn't had a tech up for like 16-18mins despite mining so much.

Anyway, thanks for the game. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
