It goes without saying that I'm a new player, and being such I've of course got atleast one question: I've sent in an application for Cadet 1, but I can't seem to find the place where accepted applicants will be posted. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

If you followed the instructions by applying with a forum account and game nick, then you should be waiting for an announcement that will be posted here on the forums. Read the instructions again.

Kaladon: As a new player, you have just completed item no10 on my list of advice to give to newbies by applying for Cadet. It's also the best move you could have done.
Watch out though, soon you'll become an old fart like everybody here and spend more time ranting than playing. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

If you completed the application, there's an autoresponder message that is returned to you giving you *some* information in this regard. If you didn't get the autoresponder message, you either provided an incorrect email address, it got caught in your spam filter, or you applied before the autoresponder was put in place. (the last item being unlikely)
Why *some* information? The cadet programs aren't on a fixed schedule. They commence on a regular basis, usually one or two weeks after the last session closes, depending on the number of applicants and the RL demands of the administrators.
The last session has now concluded, so expect an announcement soon... keep an eye out for it on the News Page and in the General subforum.

By any chance does that mean Cadet II is about to restart!?
