Reducing future ban times

Okay, I'm not sure this is the correct forum for this questions, so move it it it's not. As I understand it, the amount of time for you are banned goes up with each ban you get. Is there a way to reduce that time? For example, let's say you were being stupid one day and got banned for some reason. Can you do something (like good behavior) so that that banning was removed from you record so future bannings aren't ungodly long? I ask because my 3 bannings thus far from the game have been accidental and have all been "Vet in a Newbie Game" ban. First 2 bans came about because my rank got to 5 and I didn't notice before game controller forced a new game, thus I got a double ban. The third banning was because the game on which I was playing had it's named changed to something that included "Newbie". That third banning got me banned for 16 hours and was removed from my record by BV due to the circumstances under which I recieved it. However, at some future point, I may get banned on some rule of which I am not aware or wasn't paying attention to. If that were to happen, I don't want to have to wait 16 hours to either play a game or test out new settings. Is there a system in place that does what I've kinda describe here?
Bans are cleared from your record after a certain period of time. Just stop getting banned and you will be fine /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

(actually, neither is the standardised auto ban length system or the bans getting longer)
unless it's somewhere other than the more obvious http://www.freeallegiance.org/FAW/index.php/Ban

First Dragenesis, the ban for the fool who created the newbie game was wiped from your record. Read the post in the general forum.
No, I will disclose time lengths. We have had people in the past who abused it by knowing the times. (hmm, I am going out of town for a week, think I will do this...)
Yes, there is a system in place. There are two levels of bans. Minor and Major. They are cumulative in each category. Plus a total number of bans is watched. You keep doing the same infraction it does escalate rapidly. Or x number of minor bans invokes a major ban.
Yes, after a certain time frame those events drop from the total count of bans. Stupid Players deserve Stupid Bans™ /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

Plus I can override any ban length for "special people" doing "special things". Cads is a good example.
The @Allegs have a tool called, "Enforcer", that gives them a pick list of infractions to chose from. They have a large amount of written material, private forums and training to correctly identify issues and how to respond.
I hope that helps clear up some misconceptions.

Always in the Shadows...
Cool!
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.
