Eonix has created his own core, the Sonic_Nebula. It is the same with dn_000460, except that its research speeds, build speeds and He3 Speeds are faster and also contains a new faction (which is actually a mod of Phoenix. No new models created)

Download from his website: http://fighter.eonix.googlepages.com/home

did noir say it was ok to use his core?

i know he doesn't want too many versions of DN running around...

has it been tested offline first?

I would send a link of that to Noir, asking him if he would aloow it. But, just know he is very busy, and it will take time to hear back from him. He is not online everyday. So be patient. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Good luck,

Kite

Eonix and I has already tested it offline, so no worries.

PS: For those of you who have seen my threads about the Allegiance Server Pack, this is the exact reason why I was trying to set one up.

Oh yes, Eonix already created a site containing information about his core: http://fighter.eonix.googlepages.com/home

Are you asking for feedback on the core as a whole, or for just the new faction?

I haven't tested it yet but reading more about it it sounds like the new faction is Sup only.

If so, you're severely limiting the possible strategies for the faction. I can't see this as a good thing. Also, what happens if all the sup rocks are on the other side of the map?

It appears you've created a faction that is too powerful, and yet less fun to use all at the same time.

I suggest making exp and tac viable paths and adding more weaknesses.

As far as the core goes, reducing research times for everyone will cause major imbalance (unless you made major changes to all the factions, which it sounds like you didn't).
Bios with only 5 min research time would be ridiculously powerful, possibly the only thing that would defeat your new faction.

I wish I had more positive things to say. Keep trying and don't give up.

Umm... this is Eonix's creation? Nevermind, this is his first time making a core, I'll talk to him about it.

Ok... Eonix and I revised the faction and saw how rediculously powerful it was. Sorry! /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" /> The following change will be implemented:

Armored Phoenix

Speed: 1
TurnRate: 1
TurnTorque: 1.4 (To enable ease of movement)
BaseHull: 1
BaseHullRepair: 1
BaseShield: 1.4
BaseShieldRepair: 1
ShipHull: 1
ShipShield: 1.5
ShipShieldRepair: 1
Sig: 0.7
Energy: 1
EWRange: 1.4
PWRange: 1
Missile Track: 0.6
Missile Dmg: 1
Cost: 1
Research: 2 min
PW Dmg: 1
Economy (Yield, Spd, Capacity): 1
Sensors: 1

OTHER FEATURES:
Assault Shields
Bombers, Heavy Troop Transports and Capital Ships are the only ones that can carry missiles
Flat hitboxes

No turrets
Nans only work on non-piloted craft
Sidethrust has 10% less effectiveness

EDIT: Removed this impossible feature: Fighter Hulls are resistent to 12 weapons by 75% (including Phoenix cheese... got any cheese pizzas?)

No. Neither does walking your dog count as a new reply.
