There should be a file in the Allegiance folder from the time, the ASGS crashed called DUMP_*.log. Please post the content of this file.

Get the latest installer from the Downloads section of this site (link on the gray bar on the top of the page) and reinstall Allegiance using that. Alternatively, you can just get the ASGSClient.exe file from the same section and overwrite the one in your Allegiance install directory.

edit: reply to ogo: the allegiance installer doesn't include the new asgs yet[/edit]

what do you mean?

do you mean

A: (which you describe)
1) you click login,
2) asgs updates
3) you[/it] start[s] asgs again
4) you click login
5) asgs updates
3) you[/it] start[s] asgs again
7) go to 1)

or

B: (which your topic title suggests)
you click login
asgs updates
you try and start asgs again and it doesn't start at all

if A, try downloading http://downloads.alleg.net/asgs/asgs.zip extract to your alleg dir, overwrite asgs with those files (make sure asgs is closed first)

if B, try what zapper said

Same problems as Zapper's. Read Pook's post on the main page. Also, solution to this is now posted here.
