So to make it short - lately im getting pretty annoyed on ppl knowing better everything but seem to having only 30 % Clue of the game.
Not enougth with that - complaining about the "Bad Team" - or small numbers.
Today i saw a Game - Strandeled Bunny vs . TONOTOW .
Game started Stacked - as obviosly noone wanted to fly for the Newbie side.
Tonotow didnt care - and lounched a half helo Game full of noobies - even after Strandeled and a couble of vets - inkl. 1 @ alleg asked him to better not keep taht going.
(That time he had maybe 6-7 Pilots) - While 18-25 ppl sat in Noat.
Oh wonder - game was over after 15 or 20 Minutes - not without Tonotow Complaining why he had lost: "Small games are $#@!" or something...
PLZ PLZ PLZ
Use the ACS to gain skills if u command.
The reason ppl sitting in NOAT ist not because they dont want to Fly - THEY ONLY DONT WANT TO FLY FOR U (maybe).
The reason u lost is not because team size is small - ITS BECAUSE U GET THE STACK EVERYTIME.
The reson because u cant win with even temas - U CANT FIGHT AN EXPERIENCED COMMAND WITH 2x - 99x more EXPERIENCE - and not knowing a couple of BASICS.
U make it only hard for urself to get accepted by ppl with that kind of buisness. Lounching Stacked games while everyone asks u to NOT do that.
Learning the Game with 15 or more ppl a side is wasting prolly 29ppl´s time.
Learn in Small games - and AT LEAST PLZ VISIT ACS - or learn the basics of the game alone.

Champy always tells it like it is. I can't always understand you, but your English is much better than my German! /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

A lot of command errors are made when people command without a basic grasp of the game, this is why there are restrictions on acs applications. Basically, don't expect too much from someone like tontow, who can't really play the game up to the lowest standards.

I dont blame him for commanding - i dont expect him to be a "Hero".
But in this case - cant he learn commanding on is own created Server instead of taking over the Main server.
Cant he learn commanding against an at least close eqal player ?
I dont like that behave.
Unused openings or not - proove them in small games.
Even if i see him Stacked Badly - my unstacking Intension is broken up for him. I will overthink this in small games maybe - but not the way he usual gets command.

I see this in spidey's domain soon...
Side-note about ACS: If they would have accepted me, that'd be one more potential commander in the works! But NOOOOO! I'm not good enough for ACS! It's because I'm fat! I know it is! Skinny mofos!

The sad harsh truth is, you don't learn from playing by yourself. Heck, you don't learn from playing small games either (insert LOL Giga Spam here). The only real shot you have of learning how to play, is to read up on it, then actually dive in and command REAL full sized games. In a small game, you can get away with pushing bases unhindered to enemy tech sectors, and plenty of times un-eyed since there isn't enough people to keep probe networks maintained. Hell, in a small game, you can sometimes mine completely free with no threat of an enemy attacking them.
As for some people, like myself, i would rather sit out a game then let some unrelenting piece of @#(! stacker whore get a slot so they can get some sort of pointless satisfaction from an easily attained victory. In the end, it's all i can do to keep it from getting worse, since theres lobby stalkers (who play better then me) just waiting to pounce.

Personally I got significant benefit from practicing opening moves on empty servers - on fazdev at the time since it was still R3. I read that ACS opening moves document a hundred times, and practiced it a hundred more before I tried to command (after my initial noob attempt or two). Someone suggested that to me after one of my first cadet commands... FreeBeer? I would go through the process of mining enough to get advanced tech on different factions, and time myself.
The opening of the game sets the tone. If you try something 'different' your team must be on the same page - I mean they should be even with a standard open - and if they don't trust you as a commander, you will lose their attention.

OK, a few things.
If this thread turns into more of a rant than what it currently is, then please move this to the Rants forum.

People weren’t joining and both the other commander (Who, btw, had game control, so you can just go yell at him for hitting the launch button) and I had gotten tired of waiting to play and so we decided to @#$# it and go.

The game started quite small; I commanded Rix and had 2 vets and one (0) newbe that I took out of the goodness of my heart.
Before the game even launched, I had told all 3 of them to get sr scouts on team only chat. Game launches and only 1 vet gets an sr and the other 2 launch in normal scouts – Long story short, I didn't get the needed number of sr scouts out until it was too late for them to be effective.
And then there was the cu-day-graw (SP?); Both teams ops build mid low (the only reason his op planted was because of the lack of sr scouts and the time it took to finally get them out). The team asks for bombers, but I hold off a load and try to push an op. Op dies. Bombers on both sides are up and out within 30 seconds of each other.
Thinking my team to be able to stop their bomb run, I launch in a bomber before realizing that my entire team has been podded. I made a comment something to the effect of, “I hate this small game @#$@â€

I would suggest flying more and commanding less until you get quite good at the game in terms of flying. While some of us commanded pretty much from the day we started, most other people became good pilots then turned their attention to commanding, and trust me, it's much, much easier to command when you're a good pilot, and have a reputation to back it up.
Additionally, I'd advise against doing a kalix and claiming your skill just because you beat aarm and grav once? That is a huge hit on your reputation right there.
