After Update Allegiance no long works

Try getting the update mentioned here, it is the MS C++ SP1 redistributable. It will likely fix your problem.

Strangely, mine logs in, then the desktop is still displayed, and the alleg red thingy on the taskbar won't appear. it then logs me off.
