I know DN uses it's own set of minimap icons.
The A+ icons are used by what other cores? Or does certain cores use their own set of icons?
So who knows what cores use what?

Could I just rename my dn icons so that all cores use it? Or is it one of those non changable things?

If they aren't on AU you can, but you have to convert them to the new name. (MDLs contain thier own name inside, simple renaming will create a currupt mdl file.)

While VoS uses many of the A+ icons, they are renamed to be VoS specific so that if other cores changed the icon it wouldn't be affected.

So if I was to write in a Cadet Topic that all cores EXCEPT DN use basic A+ Icons (with minor core specific ship variations) I would be correct?

Warpcore uses it own icons. I will post them later today. Basically the are a variant of stock icons.
