We are putting our forces on high alert to deal with this possible threat.

It may also be a cunning ploy by GigaCorp to draw our attention elsewhere, security has been doubled at all major bases and we have increased our patrol routes and areas as much as we can after our recent defeat to the BIOS.

The destruction of the patrol was unfortunate, but it was out of the range of the pilots. Several of them were green, and the enemy had the element of surprise. We are still investigating into the fact that it may have been an attack by the Iron Coalition with some visual camouflage and overcharged engines to distract us while they prepare to catch us unawares. Our customers should not fear some new 'Alien Menace' - If they are aliens, we'll be able to hold them. If they're not, it's been proven that we can hold against them.

The source of this leak will be rooted out and purged. We cannot afford such mistakes.

The Iron Coalition denies any and all accusations of attacking this GigaCorp patrol. We are still learning, growing and adapting in light of our recent engagement with the BIOS.

We do not have the time, resources or the cowardice required to divert and modify our forces to pull off this petty trick, if indeed that is what it is.

Personally, I'm a big fan of the solar radiation reports channel. Actual useful info there. This stuff is just yellow journalism. I'm surprised we haven't had an advertisement for the latest longevity pharmaceutical "reverse engineered from stolen BIOS DNA" yet.

Union vs Management

As I make my weekly rounds in the local hangers I keep getting asked this question. "What is with the Reporter's Union and management at the DataNet?"

The answer is simple, they have cut my pay, cut my expense account and demand I finish my degree. WTF? For years I have served this sector well. Now they bring in these young university graduates with huge salaries, no front line experience and give them a portion of my beat!

On the bright side I will no longer have to focus on current or future major mining operations or corporate life. I have been directed to continue my "human interest material" which is what I have always specialized in.

Though I did have a small note stuffed under my door by one of the managers. He said, this is not a demotion or anything like that. Just could you imagine if we sent one of these new reporters into the XT hanger? He would not last 90 seconds. Plus the 5 centimeter thick bundle of credits was a nice touch!

So I will be around, just concentrating more on the happenings around base here.

Heya I seem to notice Dreg bein sucked into this here ZOne thingy merbob.... I also notice someone postin az IC and Giga Operativez...I already posted my interest in helping on the storyline (( and Yes I kan type normal if I need too)) I would like to be konsidered for the Dreg representative and also the TF one when IT getz IMplicated.. And I will NOT take NO for an answer on bein the Total representative of Z when IT komez out .... >;b
