Windows Version: Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2
Processor Speed: 2.8Ghz
RAM: 1G
Video Card: Geforce 6200
Sound Card: Integrated
Connection Type: DSL
Modem: Nortel Model NTEX35
Router: Belkin Medel F5D7230-4
Internet Service Provider: ACS

Installed Mods: None
Problem Encountered at Step #: 4
Which Program: ASGS
What Error Message: OOBE Failure
Comments: Alrighty, when I hit login in the ASGS disapears and then nothing happens, no game launch. I can launch it from the install directory just fine but of course it's not verified through ASGS so I can't play. The only thing I can see is that there is an "OOBE Failure." I'm thinking that I'm just missing something obvious here but since there's nothing on the forums or help section on a OOBE failure I decided to just post here. Here's the ASGS log
• Unable to manage previous exit state.
• Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
• Initializing
• Reading Settings
• Unable to Read Registry Values
• Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
• Checking Installation
• Checking OOBE
• OOBE Failed.

EDIT: Just as an FYI, I DO have the latest version of ASGS.
ASGS doesn't launch the game

Pook is the ASGS expert/author but a google search on OOBE came up with basically two main categories
-a programming error, but we know it is working on the XP Home SP2 systems with .NET 1.1 installed, so an error in ASGS is unlikely
-not a genuine copy of windows. You wouldn't perhaps be running a boot leg copy of XP? (you don't need to answer yes, but give it a try on a system that has windows registered).
Have you installed any version of .NET above (but not including) 2.0?

It's been so many years that i've had this computer, but I'm pretty sure it is a genuine and legit copy of Windows.
I have .net 2.0 with it's patch, and .net 3.0 also installed... however I didn't have them installed when first trying to run the game, I only installed them after uninstalling and reinstalling 1.1 and it's patch.
