One and a half awesome games, the half game win going to the server for an awesome crash!

Games were on GoD, PK's IC Exp->Tac->Sup vs ACE's Rix Exp (I believe just exp... damn me if I'm wrong).

I'll let someone do the real recap (*coughAarmcough*) but PK was able to win by sneaking SBs into ACE's Exp sector while they tried to bomb our exp. Shorty after destroying the exp (2-3 mins max) we were able to steal the last exp rock on the map, sealing ACE's fate.

Just like XT, playing against ACE is one helluva job. Probably 10 mins into the game, aarm goes "Well, that miner is dead" without any previous warning. ACE had rushed in 10+ ints simultaneously into an op sector... the miner had NO chance /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> The int swarms on our miners were damn impressive all game, as was the response times to the constructors that we launched (PK had to have lost 5 or 6 op cons between the two games).

I woke up at 3:30AM to make the match, and I am happy to report that it was well worth it /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

sounds like some great games as usual per 2 of the top 3 squads in alleg.

As usual, Seymor destroyed miners.

I believe he became target no.1 by second game. "I can't go anywhere without being swarmed! Aaargh!"

Yeah, well, I think we only proved IC almost has to be used on GoD with standard size map if you want to win. We did try the Rixians for the sake of flavor, but it really didn't work out. IC just has too many advantages.

The 2nd game we went IC after all (oh well) and things managed to turn around in our favor now. Too bad the server crashed. Or maybe it's good, because the game was about to last some time and I needed my sleep. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

I have just one question/annoyance. For what obscure reason did you insist on ThalServer?

ThalServ used to have good lag for everyone. Apparently, it isn't so anymore.

Back to Planet we go. We'd love to use Stripe, but its horrible for everyone outside the US. Again, it was all hunky dory till 1 month after it went up. Then lag went to hell for Euros.

Is the EU server that bad for US players?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. You have to log in to find out.

PK, I've never flown so much with an eye. Your scouting and probing was very good in the first game. I got tired of seeing beauty and ImmZ floating about the fringes of our sectors. SO.... DAMN.... ANNOYING! /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

Bombing with eye... hide your nans. as long as they don't know WHICH bomber has the higher nan count you are much more likely to trick them.

BS had 2 bomber ones one fore there op mid low and another bomber going for there garr mid high, when verse RT. they took the bait on the bomber high and the middle bomber was safe to kill the op, then the ref. then went with 8 AB missiles left using every last one to kill the newly formed sup.
