Yeah, I really appreciate BV for backing all these things up for us.

Mad, there is also an interview with the same person: http://www.allegacademy.org/devs/peterarisman.shtml . The section on rocks is really interesting (turns out I did my mine exactly how he said not to. /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />)

As i think I maybe mentioned earlier, the killer line in the first article is where it talks about how all the textures were originally done at 512x512 and then scaled down to 256x256 to be shipped with the game. MadP found the belter pod texture is still intact (which gives us 90% the fig and int). Mega was willing to post all the files on the alpha/beta CD's he has so we can dig around and see if those files are from before everything got downsized, but he needs a place to upload everything to. If anyone is willing to host the files please contact mega (IIIMEGAMANIII on the forums I think), that would be really great. Or, if those who have their own beta0 or 1, etc CD's could look for any textures that are 512x512 (any bmp.mdl files 513kb in size), that would be nice too.

From a community history POV it'd be nice to have those Beta CDs available in general.

i also noticed that the lights are a fixed size, and that if you want them to be smaller, you need to make the model bigger.

i'm sure we can find somewhere for him to put the CDs... could they be put on the SVN?

I can host the files. Mega was supposed to contact me awhile ago so I could give him a temp access to upload some other material. Unfortunately when I moved my Beta CDs got crushed /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />
