IC has a great up front advantage, the lt int is the best starting ship in the game. Your days will be sunny and you will hear the singing of angels. IC expansion is the cure for whatever ails you....
Surgeon General's Warning: If you're a comm and you pick IC you better have a team that can work together from the start and whore at least at a moderate level. You should also be prepared to pull your hair out trying to get them to press the issue and play aggressively.
Side effects include:
Lack of late game perks
Loss to 'comeback' factions
Emphasis on teamwork (read: lack of teamwork)
Sudden loss of control
Tendency to use CAPS LOCK
Throbbing in the head
Loss of confidence
Chronic diarrhea
Stomache ulcers
Heartburn
Poor comm rating
IC is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women...

Bios fig is considerably better than the IC light int. More flexible, minepacks, similar fire power and cloak. It is certainly the most powerful starting ship in the game.

Kill bios miners, go to sleep for 20 minutes, wake up in a @#(! storm. /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />
And I'd take a GOOD bios fig pilot over a good lt int pilot any day.

Which speaks to a deeper truth, namely: whores don't win games. You can be good at killing things in an int or you can be good at *everything else*...
A bios fig has better scan range, the ability to cloak and they can carry dumbfires /wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":iluv:" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />
But the bios scout is their real strength (cloaked tp2 drops, ridiculous probing and anti stlth abilities and *correct me since I'm wrong (I assume)* the best energy level of any scout)
That being said... I am going back to padding my kills/ejects for a while...
