and for good reason. Expansion requires less skill to pull off successfully compared to Sup or Tac in a pickup game, where you've got a wide variety of skill levels and reliability of players.

First off, Why? I'm sick of going expansion. My guess is that 75% of games result in my team getting an expansion in a pickup game, even if that isn't the first techpath. When was the last time you played a sup v. sup game? tac v. tac? Probably 3x as many exp v. exp games happen than a sup v sup or tac v tac game combined.

What would I like to see happen? Try and make some changes to exp that make it less appealing in a pickup game, without impacting squad games too much.

My suggestion? keep the range on mini-guns, but slow down the bullets by 20-40% what they are now and make it harder to aim with them. Most whores shouldn't have too much difficulty adapting, and the damage output on them stays the same, but it'll require more skill to use them.

Right now, a team goes IC? `fu
TF? `fu
Rix? `fu

well `fu, expansion.
We've upped our standards. Up yours.

No, don't make it even more difficult...I'm finding ints hard enough to fly as they are. /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Or I'll just defect to the other team, provided they haven't gone exp as well. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Try other cores, the ints have received some attention elsewhere.

On DN there are ways to beat ints:
Dis3, also called retard gun
Hvy Plasgens 2
Sky Cap1/2
And of course Hvy Ints

I only wish 75% of the games I were in had ints... teams get stupid with other tech paths. I usually get stuck with the comm who is bent on going Tac, no matter the situation :/

I've seen tac save hundreds more weak commanders and players than expansion.

How hard is it to shoot a missile, or drop a pod.

I don't think it's the difficulty factor, it's the variety. Flying ints all day gets the same. Same people overboost into your prox. Same people whore you. Same same same. I want variety!

And why doesn't anyone upgrade the scouts unless they're bios anymore /glare.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":glare:" border="0" alt="glare.gif" />

I want my Heavy Scout!

You need a techbase in order to get them, of which you should have been doing before if you wanted any real chance at winning. Kind of goes to show what kinds of people were rushing hvy scouts.
