there are pictures posted all throughout this forum, just take 5 min and browse throught it.

in short, yes they do make a huge difference, however last time i used them they were still buggy and i dont know if they have fixed them yet.

They are really good looking and worth downloading, you can turn them off in game if you have troubles there.

Make sure you put them in the separate folder in your allegiance folder:

artwork\textures

Yes, they are worth it, the news textures are amazing.

they are great, i've been spending quite a bit of time recently looking around at the pretty environments and ic bases instead of playing.

highres packs are defiantly worth it, they look awesome /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Maybe a comparison thread is in order. With a pic of the standard tex next to the hi res one. Would be a nice way to advertise.

It's done now. (at least the rock section)

One question, where is that doah!nut asteroid used at? I think we should use that model for Helium asteroids. That would add some interesting new gameplay.

EDIT: Note that every upgrade that is offered on my site also has the default file(s) available to replace the upgrade(s) if you decide you do not like it.

EDIT#2: I figured out the dohnut is used as a giga tac base
