Serious spacetime continuum event
Last night in a small game we had a sector within which all the bases were transparent, or perhaps opaque, I seem to think I saw stars through them but maybe it was just the distance from the base. I believe we all saw the same thing. I tried taking a screenshot, but I am sick, and was tired and forgot to try to figure out how to save it (which I don't know how to do anyways). This was an obvious tactical advantage, as the enemy would never be able to find the green door to cap. I would love to know how to do this again http://www.freeallegiance.org/forums/style...cons/icon10.gif

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.
Seeing stars through the bases (or rocks) is pretty common, not sure about the rest.

were the stars the "space dust" little white squares that move past your screen when you move (giving you an idea which direction your going), and fade away when you stop.
or are you talking about the lens flair effect, that goes through bases, really should let them cast shadows, or atleast block the flair when they are in the way

When you want to take a screenie;farmerjon wrote:QUOTE (farmerjon @ Dec 22 2006, 12:39 PM) forgot to try to figure out how to save it (which I don't know how to do anyways).
1) Hit the 'print screen' button, above the insert button (you'd better know that button).
2) Open Microsoft Paint
3) Paste your screenie
4) Save file
Allegiance Terror Alert Level: HIGH
Or just asign print screen shot in the "keyboard and control" setup to the "Prt Scr" in Alleg /ninja.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ninja:" border="0" alt="ninja.gif" />
Then u can press Prt Scr like a crazy and all the "Prints" are in trhe alleg folder /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I will venture to guess that the map in question might have been bowtie. In the game we played yesterday on bowtie, the rocks and bases in the sector with the lt tele of the right (opposite of left) team were all black. The only way I could dock at our exp was by looking for the blinking green light. It was quite annoying.
