Wondering Through the high voltage wires...
Some Newb: This Game ROCKS, and its FREE!
Blue are worst team ever. I joined an hour 5 mins in, within 10 minutes we had lost our only other sector. For about an hour blue tried to attack us, failing every time (we blew a sup with tp2 during that time) then we just probe spammed and/or sucidied into enemy sectors. Blue seemed not to try anything for almost this whole time. We were getting down to 5fps and below in our home sector due to probes....

Here's my 2 cents. Yellow TF won almost every straight up dogfight. Blue IC was terrific at bomb runs for the first 45 minutes. Blue wound up with the entire map but unable to push in a bomb run, or even tp2 successfully, though had several tries.
The most two curious things (I thought) was why blue did not attack from all 4 alephs (or even 3) to our home at the same time, (ressing if necessary). That would almost certainly have resulted in one bomb run getting through. Yellow's biggest failure was a lack of organization on attack runs. We had two tp2 scouts in two enemy sectors simeotaneously and 6-8 bombers in base, everyone saying they were ready, and waited...and waited...and waited....until the scouts were located and destroyed. (We had one successful tp2 strike earlier) Yellow never even tried a fig bomb rush at any of the 4 blue tpr in sectors adjacent to the home base. I don't know how the game ended, I had to leave...
It was fun, but frustrating to not be able to see it end.

There was this one awesome bomb run (not awesome enough to win the game though), where we used two bombers with XRPs, and about 8-10 heavy TF scout nans, to bomb their forward OP, and then their sup. Yellow can blame me for getting into that tight spot if they want to...if only I had a little higher KB...or if only I promoted one of my turret gunners...or if only I had an extra rack of XRPs...and we would've got that sup...it had 1% HP left.
Wait, they can also blame Zapper for ripping out with the second bomber because he didn't trust his nans.
Love that probe art, lightning. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
EDIT: http://lightning.ro/alleg/alleg20fun.jpg gives a 404 error.

Some rough estimates: half of yellow was on the TP2 drop, and half on defence. Blue had most people on their TP2 run, and they obviously dropped when they spotted our TP2. Not enough defence at home, too many bombers...GG.darkwhistle wrote:QUOTE (darkwhistle @ Dec 17 2006, 12:09 AM) I don't know how the game ended, I had to leave...

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.
