Comments (What you tried, description, etc):
I have sifted through most of the helpline forum in hopes of finding an answer to this problem.
Sometimes I can connect and sometimes and can't connect, it is a hit and miss situation. I have tried everything in the knowledgebase that pertains to this issue and nothing has helped. I mean I can connect, it seems to be luck when I do. I'm really new to this game, but I would consider myself computer savy. This problem also goes with connecting to the servers in the lobby, sometimes I can and sometimes I can't, weird eh? I really can't wait until the new version comes out and this whole issue is irradicated, but until then this problem is an annoyance. This games looks very promising and I can't wait to learn.
I have been in a game online and nothing was wrong there, connection was good, no lag, I could talk with other players, etc.
This issue is just really mind bending to me, I have tried everything.
Port forwarded: 2300-2400 TCP and UDP, 47624 TCP and UDP, 80 TCP and UDP.
My router/modem also has custom services already in it:
*Age of Empires II: The Conquerors
*MSN Game Zone (DX 7 & 8 play)
I have tried UPNP Enable/Disable.
I have changed from a static IP to a dynamic IP and back. None of this has helped.
Windows is updated. Internet Explorer is online.
I must be crazy and missing some little tidbit somewhere or my computer and connection are one of a kind and have this weird problem. Best of luck to anyone who reads this. Much appreciation for the time and effort you put into responding to this.
