Assuming you've been around for more than 15 weeks your rank (the (#) shown in the rank column in the lobby) is your ELO/100 rounded down. So an ELO of 1599 = Rank(15).
If you've been here less than 15 weeks then there is a modifier on your Rank. the modifier starts at -15 and has a value of 1 added to it for every full week since you joined.
Basically you need to look at your rank and see if you think it is average. Rank(15) should be an average player. Higher is better, lower is worse. Please be aware that as ranks were reset not so long ago they are not yet accurate anyway with people clustered about the mid ranks with very few people on the extremes.
