I think I don't care what my rank is, nor will I until the balance patch has been out for a sufficent amount of time.

I'm just sick of everyone being a 14, 15, or 16 and people actually evaluating a player's skill based off of the ELO. Hide it ffs.

Short Version: This Poll is pointless, as it will not yield usable information.
Long Version:
It is obvious (and no wonder) that the current Allegiance Elo Ratings are not accurate.
(though Elo as a system in itself is very accurate for a simplified statistical rating model that it is)
Due to the tossing out of the old data (the stat-reset) the Allegiance Elo System needs to converge anew.
Given that:
- The games are multiplayer team-games with 10+ players on each side
- Allegiance is a non-deterministic game with luck playing a considerate role.
the information on the individual skill of each player per game is small.
(as compared to 2 Team games with one player each, no luck involved)
Still, the system can extract some data out of the games, and the individual skill level will converge (for active players who do not try to abuse the system) to a rating relative to the active players mean rating.
It will just take a bit longer... :-)
My guess would be that we should try to refactor some of the old data or wait about 10-20 months before asking the question asked in this poll. (and even then something like this poll would be misplaced as I do not think that one himself is suited to rank oneself, empirical experience shows that people will tend to rank themselves higher than they are)

It's not too high. It's not too low. It's not accurate.
Period.

MrChaos' Simplified Reply System on Ranking Systems [SRSRS] :
1) Get over the idea that there is anything out there that will perfectly rank each and everyone one instantly with 100% accuracy.
2) Advocating a particular ranking systems over another or no rankings without proof is a waste of everyone's time.
3) Passionately defending/attacking without real proof means nothing more then you have lost any objectivity.
4) Individual observations are at the very best simply indicators of a potential issue
5) Being a Wiki-based genius without the approriate experience and/or background general leads to the spouter of the "facts" being just plain $#@!ing W-R-O-N-G.

Holy $#@!, you lifless @#$%@#s actually make me feel good about myself...
I really didn't think anyone had less to do with their time than myself, how wrong was I?
If half the people on these boards spent as much time flying and thinking about what they're doing ingame as they do posting useless garbage here they may actually become usefull.
