I'm getting the distinct impression that something is happening to the servers and Alleg in general, but I can't develope a full picture with the threads that I see here... I can't log in due to being at college.

Anybody care to give me a brief rundown?

I'm reading the "Pook" thread, but it's taking awhile to get an idea of what REALLY is going on. People are mad, that's really all I can figure out. And that maybe there's a regime change coming, w/ BV and Tiger taking over?

depends on how long you've been out of the loop.

Basically 5-6 guys had the idiocy to post anti-mod personal attacks(The reason for this varying from noir's servers to locked servers and "unjustified" bannings), this in turn led to pooky bear yoinking asgs and the forum's skin for a bit, then he put it back. Big scare i've heard, was at school.

I dunno what will happen with the leadership at this moment, pook has been stirred awake by this.

OK, I read through the Pook thread and got a couple PM's.

Sounds a bit like maybe I shouldn't have made that thread predicting the demise of Alleg... lol.

Please don't spread mis-information.

Basically BV and tiger have already taken the reins of community administration for quite some time. The last few weeks BV has been on a thread locking rampage and a higher than average number of bans have been issued.

While this has done an excellent job of weeding out serious offences that were squeaking by in the old system, there of course were a couple of innocent causalties. This is inevitable with any discipline system, but certain people felt the proportion in this case was too high.

As was mentioned in above, this was combined with discussions of other issues, old wounds, and several of what I'll call misinterpretations resulted in a few people making some very instigatory remarks. The admins responded and of course there was a whole new wave of heated arguements over that.
