Hi all!
On certain training lessons (the internal Allegiance tutorial), the display goes black, except for the HUD. The mouse movement becomes choppy as well. The training mission can then not be continued, but I can use the menu to exit out.
It only happens when I'm actually in the cockpit. Also, it seems to happen only when the tutorial moves the ship for me, but I could be wrong.
Here are my specs:

Processor Speed: 2 Ghz

Ok, this is the third time this problem has come up. Was this a bug introduced in FAZ at some point that didn't get picked up? I think we ought to get as many people as possible to test the training missions and see if we can spot the bug.
Sorry I'm not helping much arccos but hopefully we'll find the problem sooner or later. In the mean time join an online game and ask someone to explain stuff to you, anyone with an @Alleg after their name is here to help. If you mention that the training missions don't work for you they'll know where to start explaining things.

Troubleshooting was mostly excluded from the F1 menu. You won't find anything about this in it. Thats what Helpline is for /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
Try updating your video card driver? If you got the latest, maybe try rolling it back?

I think Apoch was saying that you can learn everything in the training missions from f1 if you can't get them to work.

Sounds good. I've played plenty of games that have similar aspects, if not all combined like this. Between the help menus and the crash course, I can probably get it all down. I can at least play the last tutorial mission to get used to the controls and practice combat.
The depth of the game is amazing, like a sequel to Wulfram. Shame it isn't more popular.
In the mean time, if you see me on the servers trying to work things out, don't yell too loud. :-)

The bug came up on me in training mission number 3 when the instructor tried to move the ship for me to show how the reticule changes from green to red when not on target. I replayed the mission again and the same bug appeared, I couldn't continue the mission further. Not like this bug is any big deal since the missions are basically worthless for playing the game, just thought i would give my two cents.

I *think* you get this problem if you dont follow thing EXACTLY as you are required to.
If you do somethign extra like try to turn on cloak or whatever it will lock up on the next stage of the training.
At least thats what happend to me.
So i think if you try to rush the training it might do that, but other than that it seems to happen at random.
I got the same problem

I had the same problem and another confusing one, where I always watch out of my ships rear. After reinstallation and/or installation of the BETA both problems were gone. To it looks like a graphics/driver problem. By the way I have ATi 9000 Mobility with 32 Megs and the latest modded ATi drivers.

LONG LIVE WULFRAM! Oh, and has anyone fixed the training yet? I'm VERY new and I have no idea how to play.
