"Can not connect to lobby..."

OK thanks buddy. I noticed that I could update the game but when I clicked that button that turns green at the second Red Screen It would not connect. It tried though. Sometimes it even dims the button Red all the time so I can't try to connect. Anyway if maybe someone out there could do a remote assistance session with my computer? Like if I e-mailed them a request assistance file they could help me on my Windows XP PC. Would anyone do that please? I don't have any fire walls on my network.

OK I read that but here is the thing. I changed my router settings and DSL settings. As for the Router it does not have a place for an IP address to foward the port to it asks what kind of application it is (FTP, Telnet, ect) and the DSL modem is set up right to foward those ports to my ip address. You know I think maybe if someone could see this with remote assistance (after I put in the passwords for my router and dsl modem) they might understand it better than I do and playing with the PUP did nothing I even fowarded port 80 on both the modem and router.

Also, it is also described in there that you need to forward ports 2300-2400 from your modem, to your router, to your computer. If you have any further questions, please fill in the template so we can look up your router/modem and help ya.

Problem Encountered at Step #: (read the "What Should Happen" for this step#) Well I should just be able to connect without port fowarding but I had to change it. So I called Quest and asked them what to do. They said to put my modem into RFC 1483 Transparent Bridging mode but then my router would have to have the PPPoA Username and Password put in it and as far as I know it does not support that. I have been in it.

I just want to be able to put my modem into RFC 1483 Transparent Bridging mode and put my router into PPPoA mode with a user name and password. But how do I do that?

that is right, you need to put the router into bridge mode so that the only function it is doing is the bridging (turning the DSL signals into something your router can understand).

Now, in the first page of the linksys settings you need to set it up as PPPoA (try PPPoE if no A) in the dropdown box, you enter your username and your password.

to set up the forwads using a linksys router.

you need to go into applications and gaming, and click the port triggering section. In the port triggering section, you need to set the trigger as port 47624, and the ports as 2300-2400 BOTH (very important, need both UDP and TCP set up for this to work). DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER TRIGGERS/ FORWARDS USING THESE SAME PORTS.

IF THIS DOES NOT WORK: try toggleing the uPnP setting under... uhh administration or status or something... (sorry blanked on the last one) if its on, turn it off, if its off, turn it on.

I'm understanding that you've got it working on your main computer.

RDC uses a different port than 80-2400. Somewhere in the 3k range, look up Google.

Also, you need to just forward 2300-2400, all inclusive. If you want to run multiple computers from the same router, then you have to use DXPort. Use it to limit each computer to two unique ports in the 2300-2400 range and add forwarding rules for those ports to that computer. That should let all your computers connect.

Dont touch uPnP with that router, its broken.
