They're just too thin. You can't hit them front on. At all.

So get a gun that doesn't require you to aim.

I guess you could do that, but it would feel like cheating.

Said gun is rather nice against shields... Phoenix is cheese incarnate, remember?

They arn't hard to hit...
And I fly using dial-up. Don't complain.

I've not looked for my self, but I beleve the hitbox is larger then the ship it's self.
and also, the thing front and side profile is part of the reason they turn faster on the Y axis, I think.

That's why with the new Yaw Perk, go Nix Exp and get uber, non-hittable Ints and uber HTTs with incredible shields and turrets!

I'm no modelling expert, but from what I can see in Milkshape, the hitbox mimics the ship's actual shape
very accurately (which makes it hard to hit).

Nix isn't comparable to Rix for a simple reason: with Rix, the vulnerable axis is the one with the worse handling (i.e. when you're above a Rix ship, he has to either yaw (which is his weak axis) or roll, then pitch (which takes longer). With Nix, this isn't the case, because you still have to attack from above/below, but their yaw ratio is improved, rather than reduced.
For a Rix parallel to exist, you'd need to have the Nix ships flat on the vertical axis (so their vulnerable side is left/right).
But this whole thread is pointless - it's been here several times already, the standard responses are (in no particular order) "learn to aim", "just attack the ships 2v1" and "hit them from above/below". The problems with these responses should be self-evident, but apparently aren't.

Shortly after Lyk's post, he and I went into a game so I could show him the relative scale/hit box of Nix compared to IC (which has among the LARGEST hit boxes of most factions). He could see that the Nix Fig's forward profile was not really that much smaller than the IC Int (which again is fairly large) and that the large missile pods on the Fig model wings also add to its hit area. Even the Nix Scout profile, which is the thinnest, is not much smaller than Rix’s Scout (I believe I did a similar in game test with a few other players a month or so ago). One of thing people seem to forget is that the overall scale of Nix ships (and Rix for that matter) is larger than most factions. Even with its tight hit boxes (similar to GT), this larger absolute scale makes their "thinner" sides approach normal profile sizes (although still MEANT to be a little thinner than normal) and their fat side is HUGE. This in addition to its SPECIFIC axis perks are MEANT to be a faction FEATURE and NOT "parallel". Some factions have full armor or more, Nix has thin, fast turning models. These factions are not the same nor are they supposed to be.
