Maybe I should open my own post but to save space I'll post this here. When I play allegiance for the first time in a day (perhaps everytime I reboot the computer) I get into the lobby and games just fine. However if I leave a game lobby or logout of allegiance and try to play a short time later I have trouble accessing the main lobby and when I do get in I have trouble accessing the individual game lobbys too. If I keep hitting ok and try again everytime I get the "Failure to connect to server" message eventually it lets me in but I can be waiting to get back in for 5 minutes or more everytime I get dropped or wish to change game servers. Its more of an annoyance than a serious issue but if I can resolve it that would be great. I don't have a router and I dont think I have a windows firewall active. How do I shut it off or allow access?

It sounds like your router and/or modemrouter is opening/closing the ports incorrectly.

This may be due to old firmware on your router, or just general router suckiness. Some routers are defintely better than others.

Try to see if you can upgrade your router's firmware to resolve the issue. Otherwise, your only solution is to replace it.

I do not have a router. I run my cable internet directly to my computer.

Then your cablemodem is likely a modem/router combination.

Alright I'll see if I can find updated drivers or something for my cable modem. If that doesnt work I'll just deal with it.

Give us the model of your cable modem and we can if we can talk you through set-up.

another good bit of into to have is:
start -> run -> cmd -> ipconfig

What is the 'gateway' address listed and what is your PC address (If it isn't 10.X.X.X or 192.X.X.X then you might hide that last few digits for privacy ... if you are concerned).
