Any time I'm on, there are enough people for a game, so it's pretty active.

Everyone's about to stress how you should read everything at alleg-academy.org . They're right.

So my piece of advice is don't fight in-game when you don't get a bomber or something because you're new. The comm has the final say.

Muhahahaha Like you have a choice after the first month. Allegiance decides how much time you dedicate to her.

The game itself is as cool as a penguins scrotum, loads of things to blow holes in other things, there is a money back guarantee that you have not played anything else where teamwork is so necessary, or so possible. Because of this we still love her, despite the ancient graphic engine and the histrionics of the cranky player-base.

You'll sell your childrend and/or significant other to pay for your rent and food while you become unemployeed and lose your eyesight sitting at the computer playing "just one more game". /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

It is a lot of fun, once you learn how to play. For the first month it's big, confusing, and complicated - and it seems that everyone is mean to you because you keep failing to help the team.

Then, after a month, you think you get the hang of it, and think you know enough to fly bombers, or command a prime-time game. You don't. Don't do it. You still don't know anything, but haven't reached the point where you don't realise how much you don't know.

It is still an active game. People have been saying that Alleg has been dying/getting ressurected for ages - but with the game improvements that the FAZ team have been working on, plus the developers constantly adding new things to their cores, I don't think the playerbase can do anything but expand.
(A core bascially being a 'mod' to the game, although there is no original, 'unmodded' game to compare them to. GoD (Good old Days) and PC (Pook Core II) try, however.)

So far im working through the crash course section of the aleg-academy. I dont have much time even though it is summer. I can't wait till i am actually good, and from what i see this game is definetly going somewhere, you dont see many games that have survived 7 years. I think if the graphics engine was updated a bit more people would be atracted to it since for some reason a lot of people judge games by what they look like.

The graphics have hold up remarkably well for such an old game...
