Allegiance refuses to start up, I log into ASGS and go through all the steps untill "Launching allegiance" then the window border appears and after 5 seconds allegiance instantly closes down.

I don't know what's the cause of this since I managed to run allegiance once, played training mission two and once i finished it - allegiance crashed and refused to start up since then.

Here's what i'm getting in the console/crashfile :

• Launching Allegiance
• Active
• Allegiance exited with code: 128
• Creating Crashfile
• Beginning Logout
• Closing processes
• Sending Logout Request
• Logged Out

Sys specs :

CPU : Intel P4 2.4 GHZ (Northwood).
RAM : 2x512 MB
GFX : GeForce 5500 FX
SoundCard : Sound Blaster Audigy 2
Operating System : Windows XP (No service packs =P)

Solution?

Can't be that since I managed to run alleg for a grand total of 4 times before this problem suddenly appeared O.o.

We have made updates to Allegiance. How long ago did you run and have you download the lastest version?

I've tried running ASGS everyday since 4 days ago.

Build 127 - ASGS says.

You will run into problems, as soon as you try playing a real (internet) game. It will simply crash upon mission launch.

Do you need SP2? I'm currently using SP1 and a bunch of updates right now... SP2 refused to let me use the internet even when I turned off anything that might've blocked my connection... anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall(I have a software solution for it)... I'm looking into solutions at the moment.

I have not personally see it, but there should be a crash file generated in C:\Program Files\Allegiance (or possibly one of the sub directiries). It will have a *lot* more information than the ASGS log.

Take a look at it. It may suggest what the problem is. If there is no file there check the settings in ASGS (the login program) ... there is an option for 'Debug' level logging.

I would give you better directions, but I am on a work PC at the moment...
