(if you want to find something uber, the new SY is probably your best bet, as it's completely new and there's a chance something slipped through the rigorous testing)

Yeah I thought so, but everytime I get a dreadnaught out the door I set it on autopilot for the enemy home and go have a pizza but when i check back after 30 minutes all my gunners have eject out of boredom and I still have another sector to crawl through before I get there mrgreen.gif wink.gif

Yeah I thought so, but everytime I get a dreadnaught out the door I set it on autopilot for the enemy home and go have a pizza but when i check back after 30 minutes all my gunners have eject out of boredom and I still have another sector to crawl through before I get there mrgreen.gif wink.gif

Personally, I tend to think the Effix SY is a little weaker than the others, simply because it has both the battleship and the fleet carrier functionality merged into one ship... which is uber-slow. Hence, the standard shipyard assault technique (move in a fleet carrier, rip a battleship in once it's convenient - a fleet carrier does 40mps... sure, it's still no TacScout, but those levels of speed are a bit more feasible already smile.gif) won't work for Effix. Not sure how to address it, really... pushing teles escorted by Heavy Corvettes and Destroyers comes to mind (build rip in target sector, rip in the dreadnaught, PARTY TIME!!!).

At the Drydock level, the new shipyard should be just fine... if anything, it's the enh level that's likely to cause balance issues - i.e. "are Corvettes reasonably stoppable by enh level ships? Do DDs right out the door have an overpowering effect on enemy small ships? How about the missile frigate? Is it too strong? Too weak?"... that sort of thing.

(Personally, my favorite for being problematic is a destroyer... small ships will have a hard time crossing 5k under skipper fire, and once they do, they have to watch out for smartbombs)
