Core: Pook Core II
Map: Highhigher
Settings: Dunno

First game:
GB-IC vs. RT-GigaCorp
http://asgs.alleg.net/asgsnet/recentgames.aspx?gameid=12254

GB and RT both expand nicely. Not much confrontation for quite some time, until GB bombs an op next to the tele in mid low. Nothing again for a while.
RT sees the SY con we plant next to our home. We buy our missile frigate with Skycaps and Large shield 2. RT drops one TP1 in a weird spot and one TP1 in the sector of our SY. One bomber with nans and no gunners rips to the SY, the missile frigate ignores it and heads for RT home, where we kill the defending bomber and blow the garrison. Game over.
Grim_Reaper saw those IC MF stats in Pook Core and wanted to see, if they are as tough as he thought.

Second game:
SY off, because of the first game experience
GB-GigaCorp vs. RT-GigaCorp
http://asgs.alleg.net/asgsnet/recentgames.aspx?gameid=12263

The game was pretty long, so I might not get all the details.
GB and RT both go tac, but fail to seriously hurt the enemy economy. Grim_Reaper goes adv tac, while Dreamwalker goes for starbase and Hvy Scout/Bomber. With those beasts they bomb us again and again, while losing their Tac to Grendelwolf and me. We kill all but their home sector with counter strikes and sbs. RT kills: 1 Tac, 2 Garrisons and came close to killing another tac. They blow @#(! loads of our teles and ops.
We manage to keep up our cash flow so in the end we have: 1 Starbase, 2 Adv Tac, 1 Sup, 1 Exp.
We try to bomb their home again and again, with SBs and regular bombers. When we finally have hvy bombers and aleph res, we clear those drones and mines and waste the starbase with ab2.

The second game was a damn hard game. We simply could not finish it and RT was really hurting us. 2 Garrisons? Come on! The second tac kill could have killed us, we did not have a garrsion at that time, it would have taken ages to rebuild the tac... (We had other tech bases though)
In the end our incredible cash management won the game. I don't know, how Grim_Reaper did it, I was far too busy to notice.

I also want to thank RT for their fairness. We lost 2 players during the match and were down three. RT had one pilot leave and one pilot base sit as compensation. Thanks a lot.

It is always a pleasure flying against RT.

Wasn't there, was watching the football, but GB is my favourite squad to fly against, always good close games as it seems like today, well the second game anyway! /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

This was a fantastic game and i enjoyed playing GB very much. Especially the second game, of course.

I was in the five-man bombing crew that wrecked so much havoc in your sectors; TheRock and me were nanning and ramming Dengaroth's bomber like crazy, while Terralthra and ... (who? i forgot) were turreting. Of course i barely knew what was going on; i just kept dodging hunters and shooting doughnuts untill somebody yelled 'yee-haww!'

Loads of fun, TS chatter was often hilarious and the game was intense.

Thanks GB, it was a pleasure playing against you!

ArcAngel was the other gunner for most of the runs. Hockey1015 was the other turret for one of the runs on the OP low, other than that, it was ArcAngel and I all the way.

Great game, thanks GB.

Don't worry about dropping out, I had to leave soonish anyway.
My fav bit was when you guys piled a whole bomb run through my mined aleph, supported by a caltrop and Towers. I swear I shot one dual seeker 2 to finish off the last scout and got 5 kills out of the whole run.

Good game. I look forward to the next one against you guys /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" />

The second tac lived for the sole reason of me having a 0kb... when we popped, it had like 15 hitpoints left, max.

The second garr bombing was priceless - 8.5k off aleph, 2 nans. So we load 2x res, and thanks to Rock's and Bunny's uber pushing (gotta love Giga's flat ass) have a sustained speed of something around 150mps... had to start breaking 2.3k from the garr to make sure we wouldn't overshoot it /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

WTF moment of the game - my bomber dying on mines you guys dropped upon entering our home. I saw them, and slammed the brakes, but alas, super-high mass (the afforementioned two resses) and noone to ram me off course meant *poof* /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

Not so fond of the sy rush, but the second game was great.
