I never have. But I saw plenty of people who did drink too much pinga at Carnaval. One memorable morning I counted 37 passed out young men dressed in women's underwear. (Not an exaggeration.) At one dollar a liter for 80 proof, how can you go wrong.

BTW, they don't speak Spanish in Brazil.

I was aware of the origion of the phrase but never heard the joke.
