Well this is what I ment by fractal texture. An infinite variety is available (I even made one that looks like stained linoleum). Luckily I remembered a star field generator in the same program.

Oh and might as well show what a big, pretty, anti-aliased one looks like.

Ok so I tried to replicate one of the nebulaplanets with my own fractal program. Is this progress? If anyone wants to edit or have it, I can provide a larger image with seperate layers.

I'll get on that then. The images will probably need to be refined though (i don't know how as of yet). So any volunteers?
p.s. And would we like a new star field? I think I have my procedure to make one refined now
p.p.s. and I just finished another planet.
Rocky Planet
p.p.p.s. This planet thing is pretty easy:

Okay, so over the weekend Zapper helped bring to my attention the fact that many bases utilize asteroid textures, mostly giga and belters. So just by fixing up the rocks, we'll also update most of the surface areas of a number of bases, killing 2 birds w/ one stone.
There are also a few extra rock textures multiple bases share that aren't grouped with the normal asteroids. Giga ops, for example, rely primarily on
ss92a.
This one was fairly straightforward, and the cylindrical structure didn't create a much distortion to the texture as a lot of the models do.

What's the point of making those little planet textures.. I thought Allegiance used 1 big environment map.
