Yeah was a pretty silly move on the government to repeal Russian as an official language for a country which has a sizeable number of Russians.

As the mongrel offspring of a Latvian/Estonian Union; countries that had their own languages repressed due to the Russian migration and occupation, I can understand how this would be a very natural progression albeit 20 years too late.

To be fair Stalin did kill a crapload of Tartars in Crimea, and put Russians in there on their stead.

In other news EU is rushing to sign the association agreement with Ukraine to make sure they do it before new elections as requested by Yatsenuk.

At the same time leaders of pro-Russian demonstrations in Donetsk were arrested under charges of attempting to overthrow government.
Apparently not everybody is allowed to overthrow governments ;p

Last I checked the last president was ousted by his own Parliament.

At least until Germany gains complete control of the EU.
