1. A squaded player does not always have to participate in squadgame leagues. There are plenty on the side bench or only playing PUG's. I agree that if you play in leagues, you should try and do your best.
2. Blaming your leader for every mishap or "could / would / should be" makes it hard to find one for that role.
3. As far as I know no-one is paying me to play allegiance. Fun and social interaction is a major part of my Alleg experience. That is why I do not play PUG's (no fun for me) but do play Sundays. If ACE wins, I cheer. If ACE loses, I can stomach it and enjoy TheSerb's TS chatter

What Cable means by not being a social club is that squads are for playing squad games. The requirement to be a squad is what now? 15 players and showing up at least 10 in 3 SG's, the requirement is not about enjoying everyone's company and hanging out together.
Doesn't mean squads can't be social and pretty much all squads are, but the basis behind them all is to play some quality games

I was hanging around here for 7 months, and for at least the 2 of which I would have listened to most any squad, including SRM, that gave me a reason to join. PK asked first. I think you should look at the amount of recruitment your squad is doing before blanketing a group of guys with a prick label when they were likely never even approached by another squad. If you want to recruit newbs in your squad, talk to them.

Xynth, that comment I made was out of line and I admit it. You are not a prick, and I apologize for making any "blanketing" remarks. You're a decent pilot, and I commend you for it. Keep playing, and for the love of the gods, don't allow my tirade of rage give you the wrong impression of SRM. We are actually known for being loony carebears. Problem is, the more time goes by, the more jaded I become. I am an @#$%@#, my squad, for the most part, is not.
Sorry, man.

Not really offended and wasn't fishing for an apology. More than anything I was trying to encourage all squads to actively recruit new players. Not only will it help stop the consolidation of active skilled pilots that is occurring, it will help with newbie retention.

Bingo... H
If you sign up for Squad events..
You should have enough committed players to meet your squads obligation for the event. If the person in charge of the event does some coordination then the team members should say who is going to show up, who is not , and who is not sure.
If the number of folks who are going to show up does not = 10. Have the courtesy to tell the other team..
If your squad membership is so incoisnsistent you can not field 10 people then go back and look at some of my tips and sugestions.
Some one, who represents the SQUAD needs to let the other squad know your not going to be able to field a team before all the members of both sides show up. It is an ettiquette thing,
