Monkey is a mostly southern slang term in the US for a woman's naughty bits
Not the reason Im using it but why they are making the joke.

Actually if I was a nice guy I wouldn't have wrote that bit about you a few posts back Adept.

Mea Culpa.

I didn't read the entire thread, BUT, isn't this what we should be doing anyway? The main reason I'm at where I am is because of people like goatporn (

), Fwiffo, and a few others. Can't everyone step it up a bit, in terms of helping out newbies? Sure, this really is a great idea, but why not have other people step up too? We see those "gah you're so mean" posts. Why not EVERYONE work on that?
All carebare-lecturing aside, I back this idea, for what my 6 months here mean.
P.S. Sorry if this was a "what not to post," I forgot what they were

I found Psyche very helpful and friendly as a newbie and actually don't think he'd be that terrible for the job.
Because I like changing topics - Do we have any stats on why newbies don't stick around? If we don't does anyone have ideas ( good or bad ) on how to get that info? What if on the second or third login every person was presented with a poll with options like:
I plan to keep playing.I don't don't plan to keep playing because I don't understand the game objectives." I don't understand the game mechanics." I don't like the other players (especially spidey)." this is not my style of game." I am a consumer whore and the grafix do not roxxors.
While I think an @Help tag is not a bad idea if you're serious about increasing newbie retention you're better off learning why they aren't being retained.

Odds are, the moment they decide they aren't staying, there won't be another login. If I don't plan on staying, why would I play another game?
