Yes, the 7950GX2 was a big trap for people who bought it. They stopped supporting it a while ago
The fun thing is that the next generation high end part of theirs is another GX2 board. Wonder how long that lasts...

So, only 'fix' for now is using old drivers?? I too just upped my system in December and was using 163.75 drivers. I was having weird issues with the game becoming unplayable. Wasn't just video though. In addition to screen blurring and moving really weridly (it didn't move like low FPS though, more like in slow motion or something), there were also issues with audio getting cut out and effects like moving faster than I should have been able to after boosting finished.
I wasn't sure what was the problem, as I also was having problems with Bioshock. Finally I just updated the drivers to the most recent non-beta last week, 169.21. This fixed my Bioshock crashing problem, but now Allegiance won't play at all. I start ASGS and log in. The allegiance window expands and my screen goes black. Instead of program starting though, the allegiance window then minimizes and can't be used. When I try to re-open the allegiance window from it's spot on the taskbar, it just does the same thing. Expands to show a black screen for a couple seconds, then drops back down to minimized.

There is no fix other than older drivers at the moment. A new client is in the works, but has some bugs in it that need fixing.

Damnit! Double Agent really screwed with Allegiance. I thought installing the 169.21 drivers would make DA work but no, slo-mo @#(!. Before, Allegiance was playable though I had the same yellow box problem that Dog had. My fix was to press Esc-D-S to enable and disable secondary device usage which cleared things up for about ten minutes before things started to crap out again. I could play Allegiance fine even with that.
Now these new drivers have these problems:
Choppy framerate
Flickering screen whenever I alt-tab
I'll wait for the Allegiance fix, I really don't want to mess around with my system ATM plus I have a billion other games that work so I'll wait.
Thanks!

Okay. Got it to run again, but still messed up. I tried ASGS with windowed mode, and that allowed allegiance to run. I immediately noticed FPS was (still) messed up, running around 20fps. I looked around at other settings to mess with and what do I find, but it's running with software rendering for god only knows why. Possibly I switched it a couple weeks ago when I was trying to play and having problems, but don't remember doing so.
Switched back to hardware rendering and it's almost running normally 100+ fps, albiet in a window. I still can't run in full screen mode and sound effects keep not working, but at least playable to some extent.
Someone else want to try playing in a window and see if that makes a difference for you?

On the good side: I can reproduce the bug, so now I will also try to find a way to solve it, as I hate running with old drivers.
On the bad side: I can't play. 12FPS on a 8800GTS...

It's the nV's fault. The problem is that they prolly won't bother to fix it.

Anyone try out the nVidia beta drivers released ~Jan 10th? I've got them but have not had the time to try them out yet. I figured I would post here and save myself some reboot time if they don't help.

I might try it later tonight.
