I should be on for a few hours tonight.
I was pursuing German tanks but looking at the boards and such it sounds like Russians are a lot better rounded (of course I haven't really even tried doing russians much) so I may go that route.

I think the balance is fairer than people say on the boards but the Russians do have the edge in normal tanks.
The german TD's are the bomb though
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

German TD's are only good when facing off against noobs in lesser tanks that fire at your one armored and sloped panel, expecting penetration. Russian TD's are far superior in their stopping power, identical in low->mid tier camo, and superior in higher tier firepower, protection, speed, and camo.
Yeah, Russians do have the edge in normal tanks until Germans start breaking out their crazy ass mediums/heavies in t6+

So this is awesome.
The platoon system is great! Made it so much more enjoyable. They did a lot of things right in this game for it to be free. I played with fuzz and dorj for like 2 hours last night and we tore it up.

The platoon captains need to have a prem account though, which is a bit of a shame but also, you know.. they have to make money eh?

A few pictures from my rl visit to the Panzermuseum Munster
The first german tank model (rebuilt in the nineties, last original is in australia):
A7V with a friend of mine in a WWI-Uniform
My personal favourite, because of its automated gun on top and its low silhouette:
Jagdpanzer 38 (t) Hetzer
A more powerful model of the Jagdpanzers:
Jagdpanther
The bane of the allied tanks:
FLAK 88
One of the weirdest tanks they have on display:
Sturmtiger with a friend of mine in a WWI-Uniform to give you a scale.
I have plenty of more nice pictures... If anyone wants some more. Otherwise, I highly recommend the museum.
EDIT:
I need to add, all those tanks are in running order. Even the A7V. Also, the guns are working as well (though I am not so sure about the main gun of the A7V, but its 08/15 are originals and working, as far as I know).
