New Allegiance installer
Installer is almost ready to deploy...
What needs to be done:
Finish the $#@!ing readme on wiki?Giving installer a version number. (this is pretty easy)Keep support of additional DLCs?
Like texture packs, custom keymaps, whatever. Where to host them?

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.
It's not like it's just a whim, we're going to use that.. it's just a fact. I warned PKK way ahead of time, before he even started on this little misadventure.fuzzylunkin1 wrote:QUOTE (fuzzylunkin1 @ Nov 10 2010, 05:47 PM) Cool.

ReadMe on wiki changed to what the ZLs (who have responded) have said they want to be put in for their section.
Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
Where is that installer? Community needs it now and not in two weeks™...Orion wrote:QUOTE (Orion @ Nov 16 2010, 11:43 PM) It's not like it's just a whim, we're going to use that.. it's just a fact. I warned PKK way ahead of time, before he even started on this little misadventure.
Btw, people request an improved installer since a few months (years), even longer than I suggested starting this project.
Show results and stop complaining.

I'm just saying how it's going to be.. your installer will probably be obsolete in a few months, and instead of you helping give us a head start by using the technology that has already been decided on, we'll have to start from scratch with the new installer.pkk wrote:QUOTE (pkk @ Nov 17 2010, 12:55 AM) Where is that installer?
