it's really not hard at all to track AC/mini/gat bullets within their respective ranges, skycap doesn't count because it's AoE noobcannon

In other news, the lead indicator has been fixed in R6 to account for Accel GAs

The lead indicator is a $#@!ing stupid idea anyway.
Allegiance has a charming low-tech vibe, and draws inspiration from WW-II (like so much Sci-Fi). Turreting bombers and caps would be much more interesting on both sides if you had to watch your bullets more and only had the basic red / green hints as one usually gets.
The most retarded things are combinations of AoE and lead indicator. That is just an insult to everybody involved. Add high speed projectiles like Long Tom and Gauss, and you just want to punch the responsible parties in the face for removing any gunner skill form the experience

While we are at it let's make the game more "interesting" by removing autopilot and the minimap and the hud and the chat and the targeting!
