I thought that gat had a damage modifier of like .5 vs ult hull, and dumbfires was like 1, whereas miniguns has a dmg modifier of .25.... Ergo with missiles it's a faster TTK with the fig.

That. The reason people say (whether or not it's true, I make no opinion) heavy ints are better at killing miners is because they think heavy ints burn the nans and then the miner significantly faster and better than advanced figs.

Dumbfires + gat are far more effective at miner hull than miniguns.

Yeah the big difference I think is ints are better at killing well-defended miners. That's a function of ints being good at dogfighting, not a question of ints being good at killing miners, though. Ints are supposed to be better at dogfighting though, and the only way you're going to change this is to nerf ints dogfighting ability, which I dont think we want to do.

tecknically, sup is like the best path in the game

.. provided it is adv sup and you have gat3

you can tear up capships, bombers, mienrs, cons, so easily, but you have to work together

whereas- hvy int, could in theory ride in on his white horse and kill your mienr in front of you while you suck at aiming.

have you checked the damage rate of things like GAT vs UTIL and MINI vs UTL.

EXP is the worst miner/con killing faction, the reason that exp seems so good at this is because people don't defend against it properly, because I can quote multiple squadgames where sup has defended against exp.

TTK for tac & sup < exp

Then why on earth did everyone adept jump on me when I said basic rix figs with SRs were good at miner killing?

Because of the general knowitall attitude in this community.


Interceptor might be the least damaging ship against utl hull, but its still the ship that kills scouts most efficiently, and evades fire best so saying that exp is the worst tech to kill miners is not really correct. However, I do think that the tech paths are so so balanced in the aspect of killing miners and cons - as stated above both figs and sfs can deal massive damage to utl hull. I don't think balancing is all that necessary.
