You know, after reading Mypi's post, I think that if we really want more publicity for Alleg (do we?), instead of voting at a site with a pretty stupid voting system, maybe we should do something like 'in-game banner exchange'.

We could look for similar games (that is, those with players who might be interested in Alleg and vice versa) and come to an agreement with them, that they make some advertisement for Allegiance in-game, while we do some advertising for them. I have no idea what it is (sorry, Mypi), but let's assume Project Rockstar is one of those. They could show that flashing icon thing with Alleg for a month, while we retexture an IC base with the Project Rockstar logo and URL. Of course it would have to be somehow fair, e.g. the IC bases aren't there in every game.

That would actually be a lot better than voting at a site that pretty much everyone just visits to vote for their game (with some exceptions).

(And no, I'm not talking about forum banner exchange or something, because I don't think that will work. Forum advertisement are just ignored.)

Nice idea, Cort. But that'd overwrite all the high resolution mods and that also means "useless" autoupdates that will eventually piss people off.

A mention in the MOTD, just before the core list, would be more effective IMHO.

PS: Project Rockstar is about, well duh, rockstars and rock bands managing.

We could start throwing the "They started it!!!" arguement, but its worthless doing that all over again. We're a small community - our votes will be quite low.

regnum is now #1 over allegiance in the player rating catagory.
they have 1 vote, and that person gave them a 10.

Dominion appears to have lost interest voting another month, so I'm voting Allegiance now.
