Because watching a friend play a game is the same as doing it yourself? You Dont have to quest grind. I skip over half of the quests because i just dont want to help those specific people. And the dialouge might be pre defined in different directions but you still get to choose and it affects end game gear. I enjoy the questing in this game and thats way more then i can say for wow. Granted im not into the lore of warcraft. And the PvP system isnt anything special but its not terrible. So what does it matter if you cant understand what constitues a "good game". This game has plenty of lore and 8 different stories that you can play through your own way. And its only just started they have already announced major content updates for late jan early feb.Malicious Wraith wrote:QUOTE (Malicious Wraith @ Dec 29 2011, 06:58 PM) Pathetic little moron, should go back to a job search instead of sinking your time into a boring game, trying to justify it. If you are going to base your argument on some dumbass little dismissal of my opinion, you might as well be right.
I am sure that you stalk me and wack off to me all the time Bacon, but you seemed to miss the part where I actually have played the game. A close friend of mine is a huge Star Wars enthusiast and got the game hoping that it would be good. I went over to his place on release, and we tried it out. Besides the games extremely poor quest based grind, the dialogues are as pre-defined and shallow as your other bioware favorite, Dragon Age.
Lets not even start on the "PvP", which tries to copy the WoW battleground system but stumbles over its archaic combat system that is spammy, unresponsive, and zergy. You might as well go grab Everquest and stick a bunch of self-flagellating chimpanzee's in a room, if you want to experience SW:TOR PvP.
If you want to spend 15 dollars a month to ejaculate all over this pathetic excuse for a SW tease, then go ahead. I argue this point because I am tired of morons giving money to game developers, who in turn believe that games like this are any $#@!ing good. I guess when there are "geniuses" like you, though, this can't be helped.
Star Wars: The Old Republic

Once I saw "pathetic little moron" I stopped reading. He's insufferable. All of this over a video game he hasn't even played.
Anyway, that's good to hear about having more stealth time to get away after you get ganked. I'm about to head to Nar Shadda and I assume I'll get my first taste of PvP there. Still sorta wish I woulda rolled on a PvE server, but as I said before I guess this gives the game a little more excitement. I will suck at PvP, but I guess the only way to get better is to do it =)

I am playing it but with Pandemic Legion and not you scrubs. I can't remember my server name though.
Also Imperial Agent Sniper for life.

Now, THIS is a very relative situation. 15 bucks for me wouldn't be cheap, but also wouldn't mean its expensive. Although if you consider its 15 bucks per month, it turns out to become expensive, considering how much I win per month.Sheriff Metz wrote:QUOTE (Sheriff Metz @ Dec 29 2011, 05:11 AM) also, 15 bucks a month is extremely cheap entertainment

Played a Consular Shadow tank until 50, tanked the end game flashpoints etc on Ilum, Eternity vault in beta. I $#@!ing loved it. Won't be playing in the near future due to money, but the game was just awesome.
I completely agree about the annoying MMO fags that populate games like these, and thankfully the game doesn't force you onto them very much. You can pretty much solo your way until the end, which is a good thing for all of us non-MMO-elitist-@#(!heads. That said if you group up with some friends it can be alright, guild chat can make things less boring every now and then, although I imagine world general chat won't be as dead as when I played -- there were always less than five people around when I was out questing. It is 100% an MMO but it doesn't force group content on you. To call it a single player game would be calling any other MMO a single player game. BioWare just realized not every Star Wars fan in the world cares about the MMO aspect, so forcing it upon them would make them less money.
I played on a PvP server and things could get quite heated with open world PvP. Near the end I started soloing town guard mobs (level 50 bosses) with a companion healer. I had my companions decked out in full legendary modded armor (which at the time was rare, I don't know how the current in game system actually works). We actually used my companion healer in the end game content! He was so awesome but I think his gear was bugged in my advantage
. Seriously, my companion healer survived against Malgus! I know I was supposed to be tanking but he stunned everyone else in the group . . . I ended up having to force push him off a ledge to kill him. The fight lasted a while because after a certain point his health stopped going down but we were nowhere near dying thanks to that healer. Ahhhh bugs are wonderful!
I killed soooo many Sith, the Jedi Consular storyline was just great. I can't believe Sith think they can win versus the light side.
End game JK story spoiler don't read if you want to find out yourself --> After all the @#(! the Emperor has done, especially to Revan (loved the book btw), I'm so glad the Emperor dies. Long live the Republic!
