Still ready to teach anyone who asks nicely whatever they want to know about playing alleg. Contrary to popular opinion I do not eat newbies. Voobs taste much better.
Being the one who recruits i can say it is really hard to find people of good quality who can fill up our ranks. Your recruitment had nothing to do with the number. GBs reported more than once that you have a good attitude. But the last two months seemed to be Christmas and Eastern at once, from a recruitment perspective.
I have a johnson photo in my profile since 2010.
I know the number had nothing to do with it, its sorta a "finished AFS, grab him!" thing.lexaal wrote:QUOTE (lexaal @ Apr 24 2010, 10:31 PM) Being the one who recruits i can say it is really hard to find people of good quality who can fill up our ranks. QUOTE So? Should we boot them out because it's "unfair" to the other squads that don't have them?
It has nothing to do with fair or unfair. It has to do with the environment you want to create for squadgames. If you are happy with 1 or 2 completely dominant squads, and most of the talent concentrated in those squads, then the status quo should be fine with you. If you don't like the status quo, then perhaps a change is in order?
Funny thing right now though is that it appears that we have about 4 really good squads. It's probably the best it's ever been in terms of squad competitiveness, at least since I started playing.
QUOTE ( @ Apr 24 2010, 06:02 PM) Besides, when was the last time you played a game? 500 days ago?
Not sure why this matters? Does it somehow invalidate my argument?

Here's a change for you: all the sucky squads should just stop sucking. Yeah, I know, "easy for him to say, he's some newbie and in super-squad XT to boot", right? Well, guess what? Every currently uber squad sucked at one point. XT and SysX and RT and PK were all once new squads, just like all the rest, and all of them have had low periods where they sucked for a while but got their @#(! together and came back stronger than ever; in particular, XT spent most of 2009 in a nasty slump, and SysX was in similarly bad shape just a few years ago. But instead of whining about how other squads were hogging all the talent, we stepped up our recruiting, worked on our teamwork, and grew some $#@!ing balls and that's pretty much all it took to start stomping squads into the dirt.TakingArms wrote:QUOTE (TakingArms @ Apr 25 2010, 02:14 PM) It has nothing to do with fair or unfair.
