MPOGD Vote December 2009
In response to you guys, it looks like you have Grand Prix Racing Online (GPRO) all wrong!
They have not cheated, and the Admins actually started the reset when GPRO was still in 2nd place and about 700 votes behind Allegiance.
Also GPRO, is actually somewhat team based, though not mandatory to be in a team there is a highly competitive team championship interlinked with an individual championship.
Where did they come from? Well, GPRO is quite an addicting game for a number of people, who simply love it. You should give it a try.

WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?!
Hax0rs. They using IP shields methinks. Reseting their IP to vote multiple times a day.
That's what they're doing!
Edit: It looks like they don't really care if they win. There are about 30 other site links they've been voting on and the winners can't be voted for for 12 months.

QUOTE (Grand Prix Racing Admin)Ahhh... let them win this month. Then they are blocked from the competition for the next 12 months. Now its good that GPRO is already on 2nd position, this should also be good for some extra registrations. From the view of marketing its better to be the whole january on pos 1 and not just the last 2 days of december ;-)
QUOTE The Multiplayer Online Games Directory's Game of the Month is chosen by players as the premier game for that month. All playable games listed are capable of winning this award although a game can win the award only once a year (starting 2002).
Only 1 1/2 days, until the "race" begins again, doesn't matter who wins this month...

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.
